With that in mind, we believe it is our job to perform our service and make recommendations based on certain standards that aren’t solely focused on our sales numbers. Our company does not “push sell” tankless water heater installations (even though they do mean more profits for us), and here is why.  While there are many “pros” to switching from a traditional tank water heater to a tankless model, there are some drawbacks.  Now don’t get us wrong, in the right circumstances they are a great choice, but we are careful to make sure our customers are well informed.  We are upfront about all the pros and cons to be weighed in making the switch so that our customers can make the right choice for their home.

Simply, Our Goal = Happy Customers

Gas or Electric?

We do not install electric tankless water heaters.  Tankless water heater manufacturer, Noritz, gives insight into why electric is not used:

“The hot water capacity of an electric tankless water heater is typically not enough for an entire house.  Most larger sized electric tankless units require 240 V and over 100 Amps.  As a reference, the amperage amount required by an electric tankless is about 5 times more than a typical air conditioning system! Because of this, gas tends to be a more cost-effective fuel and heats water about 50% faster than most electric models, yielding a higher flow rate.”

If your current tank water heater is electric, it could be a very costly added expense to run gas to your water heater location (even if you have gas available in your home) and in most these cases we don’t recommend doing so.  If you don’t have gas in your home at all, we do not recommend making the switch to a tankless water heater.

We've created our Tankless Facts sheet (see link below) to assist you in determining if a tankless water heater is right for you.

We do not give pricing over the phone for tankless installations.  A $99 estimate fee is charged for all tankless water heater estimates.
